Still Crazy about Celery Juice

I keep coming back to starting my day with celery juice. If you haven’t heard it is one of the latest health crazes brought to popularity by the Medical Medium. I started juicing at least one bunch of celery last February every morning. A dear friend recommended it so I did a bit of research and was in awe of all the personal testimonies on Instagram about celery juice. I ordered Anthony William’s book, The Medical Medium,  read it and decided to give celery juice a try for two weeks consistently and just see what happens.

Well I’m still doing it because simply it makes me feel good and it has dramatically impacted two aspects of my health. Two aspects I’m not super comfortable talking about but it’s significant so I share! Drinking celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, then waiting 30 minutes to eat, has completely cleared my super dry flaky scalp and it makes my digestion system dance in a good way! My dry scalp has been a source of insecurity since I turned 16. My essential oils have helped manage it topically the last couple years, but it’s clear the celery juice does something different in my gut to make it completely go away. Plus I’m regular now with out having to take a bunch of supplements. I know that is a bit TMI (too much info) but regular bowel movements are so important for our health.

I believe together through personal stories we can sift our way through the wellness industry. Whether it is a fad or a lasting life habit is still to be determined. I don’t do it every morning anymore but I do drink it at least a couple mornings a week. I really enjoy sipping my CJ while doing my morning journaling pages - for me that is a great way to start the day. 

There isn’t any scientific evidence proving the benefits of celery juice that I know of. Anthony Williams is literally a medium who shares health messages from the Spirit. So that may not be a legitimate source for some but for me mediums are gifts to humanity. Plus more and more studies ARE proving that our gut health impacts our overall health, with clear links to our mental health. So I think starting my day with celery juice sets my gut and me up for a great day! 

I have ditched the juicer as the daily use with celery broke it. So now I use a Vitamix and this awesome reusable nut milk bag and though it is a bit laborious I now enjoy the routine of making it. Some days one bunch makes 12 ounces some days it makes 16. But I have found the key is to add nothing to it - no lemon, no apple, no water, just pure celery juice. And I am really hoping for a Clean Juice to open near me soon because some mornings easy would be nice too!
