We Practice - We Grow
I am excited to share that the sign up is now open for our next Evolve retreat on May 15, 2020. We created Evolve to celebrate and share what we love - yoga, meditation and Lifestyle Medicine. What happened was synergistic, fun and impactful. We are thrilled to do it again. We are “evolving” and this retreat will be held at the beautiful Oconomowoc Community Center along the shore of Lake La Belle. The meeting room has beautiful lake views and we are excited to enjoy this new space. The retreat will be similar to our first retreat including a morning yoga session, a group meditation and education session about Lifestyle Medicine. We will enjoy a plant based community lunch together. This time in the afternoon attendees will get to choose what they would like to practice through an afternoon workshop.
Cheri will be offering a restorative yoga workshop that will nurture your body and mind through movement to release tension and stress. This workshop will be an opportunity to dig deeper into your yoga practice letting go of expectations and self-judgement. We will conclude with time to reflect and journal.
Rania will be offering a Lifestyle Medicine workshop where attendees can learn how to ease symptoms of fluctuating hormones, such as decreased energy, sleep disruptions, weight gain, and mood shifts, through nutrition, excercise, mindfulness, sleep and other lifestyle strategies. There will be a question and answer time as well.
And I will be leading a Self Compassion Meditation workshop where we will practice bringing awareness to our inner voice and how we talk to ourselves through meditation. We will learn different meditation techniques to help quiet our inner critic and cultivate compassion and happiness. There will also be time for self reflection and journaling.
At the end of our last retreat I was overwhelmed by the gratitude that was shared from the attendees and I knew that Evolve had to continue. We live in a fast paced society. We need opportunities to pause, turn inward, connect to our self and others so we can continue to grow. We need opportunities to practice what we want to grow in our lives. I hope you choose to pause and practice with us.
