Susie Steiner Meditations Podcast

A couple years ago a friend texted me a podcast that “I had to listen to.” At the time I didn’t really know what a podcast was and certainly didn’t realize that the word podcast is actually a portmanteau which is a word that blends two words to mean something, such as brunch. The word podcast blends iPods and broadcasts. I don’t know anyone who has an iPod anymore but the podcast platform seems to be sticking around. I love listening to podcasts when I am driving or folding laundry. They have become an amazing avenue for me to learn. My favorite podcast right now is The Happiness Lab with Dr Laurie Santos, a Yale professor, studying Happiness. Every epoisde is full of valuable researched information about what makes people happy.

After listening to podcasts for years I got the idea that it would be fun to start a podcast. I started recording meditations a year ago and they are featured here on my website but a couple people said to me I should share them in a podcast. They would be easier to access if they could just be searched for from Spotify. I tried doing it a year ago and the technology alluded me. Now with the Anchor app truly anyone can publish a podcast from their smart phone. I do believe we all have a story to share. And when we share that which makes us unique we make the world a better place. It does make me a bit nervous to put myself out in the world in this way. But I am learning the more I put myself out there, the more risks I take, the more dynamic my life becomes.

I’m excited to announce my podcast is officially live. You can find me through your favorite podcast channel at Susie Steiner Meditations. For now I am sticking to my recorded guided meditations. But I do like the idea of interviewing people about their meditation practice. So be sure to subscribe. Maybe someday I will interview you or the Dali Lama?
